Why doesn’t Bollywood typically remaster any older movies in 4K.
Watched Awara for the first time a few days ago and how can such a popular and iconic movie not have a 4K remaster. Even Mughal E Azam hasn’t got a 4K remaster even though it has been colourised. Only movies that I can think of that have been Remastered as some of Dev Anand’s movies and even they are not that easily accessible to watch. Why is this the case. Is it too expensive or do the makers just not care about preserving older films.
