Where can I invest (apart from the stock market) to diversify my investments. Options such as Gold, Real-estate, US-market so that in case of major correction I’ll have money in other places to pump into the stock-market?

What is GOLDBEES? Does investing in it means investing in Gold?

Is there any good way of investing in US-market which wouldn’t charge too much fees or become headache tax-wise?

Real-estate is too difficult for me, I’m just 24 year old.

What are other options which are simple to do without paper work or legal things?

I’ve already invested more than 50% of my wealth in indianStockMarket and afraid that I won’t have any money left to put in when there’s a good opportunity such as some major a correction.

  1. If you want options with the motive that you need money during a correction..then take it from me !
Do not invest or try in U.S markets since both Indian and U.S markets crash or rise simultaneously. They follow same trajectory whether while going up or while crashing down.

If you want to invest in Gold then Goldbees is good. They are basically ETF which try to reflect physical Golds price movement.

Usually it has been observed that when stocks crash Gold price rises and vice versa.(Thou gold doesn’t crash ..it’s price remains sideways or goes Lil down when stocks are in bullish phase)

But you cannot be sure that when market crashes you can quickly redeem Goldbees (at a profit) so that you can invest in stocks.

So if you want to diversify only then allocate some portion to Goldbees.

But if you want cash specifically when market crashes then there is no other way than you actually have to have cash without getting locked in any investment.

  2. If you wish to be a traditional investor, do below this:

    1. Invest every month in Provident fund
    2. Buy few gms of gold every month or a quarter
    3. SIPs (usual advise)
    4. There are high yield FDs like Shriram and others, put some lumpsum amounts which you get like bonuses or spare cash

Do it religiously. Keep a target of at least 5-7 years.
